It’s not hard to see why Renan won in this year’s MEGA Young Designers Competition. His “avant-street wear” designs are tough and edgy yet still wearable. This is because with every piece he makes, he always asks himself: “Would I wear it?”. Clearly, he understands how it is to design clothes that people could actually wear and be comfortable in. If you see his resume- which boasts of a Clothing Technology background from UP Diliman, an internship under fashion director Ariel Lozada, and work experiences as a visual merchandiser for Paris Group LLC in UAE ( where he arranged window displays for brands like Calvin Klein, Gianfranco Ferre and Versace ) and as an assistant designer at a haute couture shop in Dubai- you’ll instantly get intrigued by other surprises he has up his sleeve.”

“This is my modern take on Little Red Riding Hood. But instead of her being the victim, in my story she’s the predator. She’s fierce, independent and cannot be bullied by the Big Bad Wolf. In the end, my Little Red Riding Hood ate the Big Bad Wolf and continued her journey to grandma’s house.”
