MET Ball 2012:: Opening of Prada and Schiaparelli Exhibition

Anna Wintour | Karolina Kurkova in Rachel Zoe | Mary Kate Olsen in The Row

If your name is Anna Wintour, then you are licensed to wear anything , yes, even a giant lobster paired with fur!

It was a battle of the best and worst dressed at the MET Ball 2012 (the OSCARS of the fashiondom!) honoring the works of the great surrealist designer Elsa Shciaparelli and the intellectual designer Miuccia Prada.

So loving Karolina Kurkova‘s Rachel Zoe‘s sequined dress with matching turban..she’s looking like a creature from another dimension (in a good, good way) . Hate her or love her has always been the case with Mary Kate Olsen’s eccentric style, and i’m in love with the relaxed-gothic look she was going for.

Renee Zellweger in Emilio Pucci | Rooney Mara in Givenchy | Kate Blanchett in Alexander McQueen

We have the cookie-cutter Hollywood celebs, and we have the rule breakers…Rooney Mara redeemed herself after that pale and dull Givenchy number she wore at the OSCARS. The fierce Rooney Mara that we all love is sooo back on track.

Renee Zellweger ditched her usual Herrera bridal-ish frock and opt for a dark EmilioPucci number which is just stunning!

Then there’s Kate Blanchett in Alexander McQueen…im speechless! she’s a sight to behold, like a beautiful nightmare!

Elizabeth Banks in Mary Kantrantzou | Chloe Sevigny in MiuMiu | Kirsten Stewart in Balenciaga

It’s a PRADA exhibit after-all, hence we need these quirky girls to represent the quirkiness that is Miuccia Prada!

Elizabeth Banks in Mary Kantrantzou. Cool girl Chloe Sevigny in MiuMiu dress. Kirsten Stewart in color-blocking Balenciaga dress.

Florence Welch in Alexander McQueen | Rihanna in Tom Ford | Lana Del Ray in Joseph Altuzarra

Songstress Florence Welch was looking other-worldly in Alexander McQueen; while Rihanna‘s Tom Ford crocodile leather dress was just luxury at its finest.

Jessica Stam in DIOR | Chanel Iman in Tom Ford | Joan Smalls in Balmain

Model Citizen:: Models Jessica Stam, Chanel Iman and Joan Smalls didn’t take dressing up lightly; they were there to impress and celebrate the fashion’s festivities in couture-worthy frocks…(TDF dresses + TDF bodies)

Courtin-Clarins sisters in custom MUGLER

And these lovely ladies in custom MUGLER deserves a clap, clap and a half, love how they are looking like a fashion army squad ready for a fashion battle.

Who are on your best and worst dressed list?!?
